Los bienes patrimoniales lo son tanto por sus valoraciones históricas, estéticas, espaciales, urbanas y materiales, como por sus modos de producción socio-culturales, generación y transmisión de saberes técnicos y manuales. Este enfoque implica una actitud de conservación en términos de procesos y economía de recursos apoyada en la recuperación de prácticas y saberes que aseguren la perdurabilidad del bien en el marco de estrategias de desarrollo urbano sostenible. La paulatina desaparición de las tradiciones constructivas relacionadas con técnicas artesanales significó también la pérdida de los oficios que en otro tiempo se encargaban de dar terminaciones y expresión a las obras. Esto ha llevado a que en algunos casos se realicen intervenciones técnicamente inconvenientes, provocando luego patologías aún más severas que las iniciales. Atendiendo esta problemática, el proyecto se propone caracterizar materiales y procesos productivos presentes en las terminaciones superficiales de los muros de la edilicia histórica, entendiendo que se trata de un conocimiento de referencia ineludible para plantear proyectos de intervención en el patrimonio técnicamente compatibles. Para ello se indagará en las disciplinas de la historia de la construcción y la ciencia de los materiales, buscando contrastar aquellas propuestas teóricas que circulaban en el contexto local, con las producciones concretas atravesadas por las condiciones de producción propias de la época. Como resultado se espera poder generar un instrumento de fácil consulta que contenga toda la información producida en relación al objeto de estudio, entendido como un aporte a las prácticas retrospectivas.
Heritage assets are as much as for their historical, aesthetic, spatial, urban and material valuations, as well as for their socio-cultural ways of production, generation and transmission of technical and manual knowledge. This approach implies an attitude of conservation in terms of processes and economy of resources supported by the recovery of practices and knowledge that ensure the durability of the property within the framework of sustainable urban development strategies. The gradual disappearance of construction traditions related to artisan techniques also meant the loss of the crafts that were once responsible for giving finishes and expression to works. This has led to some technical inconvenient interventions being carried out, in some cases causing pathologies even more severe than the initial ones.In response to this problem, the project aims to characterize materials and production processes present in the surface finishes of the walls of the historical building, understanding that it is an unavoidable reference knowledge to propose intervention projects in technically compatible heritage. For this, the disciplines of the history of construction and the science of materials will be investigated, seeking to contrast those theoretical proposals that circulated in the local context, with the specific productions crossed by the production conditions of the time. As a result, it is hoped to be able to generate an instrument of easy consultation that contains all the information produced in relation to the object of study, understood as a contribution to retrospective practices.
