El rol de la Auditoria Médica en la docencia e investigación hospitalaria

Abstract

Este trabajo intenta una descripción cualitativa del desarrollo de la Auditoria Médica en el ámbito hospitalario, desde sus inicios, repasando la historia de su implementación en hospitales de gestión estatal de la ciudad de Santa Fe. Toma como objetivo, a través de la entrevista con informantes clave, el análisis del rol de la Auditoría Médica en la capacitación, investigación y docencia hospitalaria, reconociendo en el auditor estas misiones y funciones como fundamentales para el desarrollo de su práctica profesional. En forma simultánea, se analiza la relación entre los diferentes servicios asistenciales, la AM, los Comités de Docencia e Investigación en la gestión clínica del efector. Se obtuvieron seis entrevistas en profundidad a cinco informantes clave, en cuyos relatos se encuentran coincidencias suficientes para intentar una descripción de los eventos y una explicación causal de los mismos. En las conclusiones se definen tres ejes explicativos a los supuestos de trabajo, dejando abierto interrogantes hacia futuras investigaciones en el tema.

This work attempts a qualitative description of the development of the Medical Audit in the hospital environment, from its beginnings, reviewing the history of its implementation in state-run hospitals in the city of Santa Fe. It takes as objective, through the interview with key informants, the analysis of the role of the Medical Audit in Hospital Training, Research and Teaching, recognizing these missions and functions in the auditor as fundamental for the development of their professional practice. Simultaneously, the relationship between the different care services, the AM, the Teaching and Research Committees in the clinical management of the effector is analyzed. Six in-depth interviews were obtained, with five key informants, where in their account, there are enough coincidences to attempt a description of the events and a causal explanation of them. In the conclusions, three explanatory axes are defined for the work assumptions, leaving open questions for future research on the subject.
