Entorno Virtual - Universidad Nacional del Litoral como complemento de la enseñanza presencial: utilización por parte de los docentes de la Facultad de Bioquímica y Ciencias Biológicas

Abstract

El desarrollo que han alcanzado las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación en los últimos años demanda al sistema educativo una actualización de prácticas y contenidos que sean acordes a la nueva sociedad de la información. Diversos estudios indican que, si bien estas tecnologías han llegado a las instituciones, su utilización se ha limitado a su conocimiento y manejo, pero no a su incorporación -con sentido pedagógico- en los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Por lo anterior, en la presente investigación educativa, en una primera etapa, se analizó el uso del Entorno Virtual - Universidad Nacional del Litoral (EV-UNL) por parte de los docentes de tres carreras de grado de la Facultad de Bioquímica y Ciencias Biológicas (FBCB), durante el año 2019 (pre-pandemia), y en una segunda etapa se planteó la construcción de lineamientos que contribuyan a optimizar la utilización del EV-UNL, como recurso en el proceso educativo universitario. Se relevaron las características socio-etarias de los docentes usuarios, el tipo y frecuencia de uso del EV-UNL, las herramientas más utilizadas y su finalidad, los facilitadores y obstaculizadores en el uso del EV-UNL; como así también se analizó si existe relación entre las características socio-etarias de los docentes y el uso del EV-UNL. Por todo lo expuesto, esta tesis buscó colaborar en los procesos de debates y tomas de decisiones en relación con la problemática en estudio en el ámbito de la FBCB, considerando otros posibles modos de concebir la enseñanza universitaria en consonancia con estos nuevos escenarios.

The development achieved by Information and Communication Technologies in recent years requires the educational system to update practices and content that is consistent with the new information society. Several studies indicate that, although these technologies have reached institutions, their use has been limited to their knowledge and management, but not to their incorporation -with a pedagogical sense- in the teaching and learning processes. Therefore, in the present educational research, in a first stage, the use of the Virtual Environment - Universidad Nacional del Litoral (VE-UNL) by teachers of three undergraduate courses of the Faculty of Biochemistry and Biological Sciences (FBBS) was analyzed, during the year 2019 (pre-pandemic), and in a second stage the construction of guidelines was proposed that contribute to optimizing the use of the VE-UNL, as a resource in the university educational process. The socio-age characteristics of the user teachers, the type and frequency of use of the VE-UNL, the most used tools and their purpose, the facilitators and obstacles in the use of the VE-UNL were surveyed; in addition, it was also analyzed whether there is a relationship between the socio-age characteristics of the teachers and the use of the VE-UNL. For all the above, this thesis sought to collaborate in the processes of debates and decision-making in relation to the problem under study in the field of the FBBS, considering other possible ways of conceiving university education in accordance with these new scenarios.
