Comportamiento informacional de los investigadores de la Estación Experimental Agropecuaria INTA de Pergamino frente a la política de acceso abierto institucional a partir del 2017

Abstract

En Pergamino (Buenos Aires, Argentina), el INTA produce información científico-técnica para la sociedad en materia agroindustrial, además de realizar asesoramiento y brindar asistencia nacional e internacional para productores e investigadores. El presente estudio se abocó a conocer el comportamiento informacional de sus investigadores frente a la política de Acceso Abierto institucional dispuesta en 2017. La investigación se realizó aplicando una metodología descriptiva, cuantitativa no experimental; se aplicó un cuestionario de encuesta para conocer las preferencias de sus miembros al momento de publicar sus trabajos de investigación. Se indagó si los investigadores de la EEA Pergamino publican en Acceso Abierto; como así también, el grado de conocimiento de los mismos sobre esta modalidad de publicación. Por último, se examinó el nivel de información que poseen los investigadores sobre los mandatos, resoluciones y acciones establecidas por la Institución desde 2017 en apoyo al movimiento de Acceso Abierto. Los resultados revelan que la mayoría de los encuestados tienen escasa información sobre el tema investigado; en consecuencia, demuestran una práctica poco consolidada. No obstante, manifiestan una actitud positiva frente a las acciones realizadas por el INTA en apoyo a la literatura en Acceso Abierto.

In Pergamino (Buenos Aires, Argentina), INTA produces scientific-technical information for society on agro-industry matters, provides National and International advice and assistance for producers and researchers. The present research focused on the generation of knowledge regarding the informational behavior of its researchers in relation to the institutional Open Access policy established in 2017. The present research was carried out throughout the application of a descriptive, quantitative, not experimental methodology. A survey questionnaire was applied so as to find out the preferences of the its members of the institution, and the time invested on the publication of the results. It was inquired whether the EEA Pergamino researchers publish in Open Access and their degree of knowledge about this type of publication. Finally, it was examined the level of information that researchers have on the mandates, resolutions and actions established by the Institution since 2017 in support of the Open Access movement. The results reveal that the majority of respondents have little information on the subject investigated. Consequently, they demonstrated an unconsolidated practice. However, they manifest a positive attitude towards the actions carried out by INTA in support of Open Access literature.
