Vejeces y sexualidad. Significaciones y actitudes de la sexualidad en la vejez. Un estudio en torno a los viejos y viejas que asisten al Centro de Jubilados y Pensionados Nacionales, de la ciudad de Chajarí, durante el año 2021

Abstract

El trabajo de investigación presentado corresponde a la tesina del Seminario de Tesina de grado de la Licenciatura en Trabajo Social. El mismo tiene como objetivo general analizar las significaciones y actitudes sobre la sexualidad de lxs viejxs que asisten al Centro de Jubilados y Pensionados Nacionales, de la ciudad de Chajarí, durante el año 2021. Mediante una metodología cualitativa flexible y por medio de observación participante, cuatro entrevistas semiestructuradas y el diario de campo se propuso analizar las significaciones y actitudes sobre la sexualidad de lxs viejxs que asisten a dicho espacio. De este modo, se logró concluir que existen transformaciones a nivel biológico, psicológico y social que inciden en el ejercicio de la sexualidad pero que no significan el fin de la actividad sexual, y además, que lxs sujetxs fueron reinventando su sexualidad a lo largo de la vida, dado a que descubrieron otras vías para compensar el coito.

The research work presented corresponds to the thesis of the Thesis Seminar for the Degree in Social Work. Its general objective is to analyze the meanings and attitudes about the sexuality of the elderly who attend the Center for National Retirees and Pensioners, in the city of Chajarí, during the year 2021. Through a flexible qualitative methodology and through participant observation, four semi-structured interviews and the field diary, it was proposed to analyze the meanings and attitudes about the sexuality of the old people who attend said space. In this way, it was possible to conclude that there are transformations at the biological, psychological and social level that affect the exercise of sexuality but that do not mean the end of sexual activity, and also that the subjects were reinventing their sexuality throughout their lives. life, since they discovered other ways to compensate for intercourse.
