El Gran Santa Fe es un fenómeno de conurbación identificado a escala de aglomeración, pero también como escala de continuidad, prolongada en este caso más allá de los límites naturales fluviales, y constituida por una ciudad central y núcleos periféricos coligados. Es un continuum físico de urbanidades, con interdependencia entre sí y una efectiva superposición de actividades, lo cual hace que la conectividad física determinada por los nexos circulatorios de la red vial, sea clave para garantizar continuidad al conjunto.La cuestión merece la atención, y el desafío se instala en función de la naturaleza física del territorio, que hace particularmente al Gran Santa Fe un sistema exigente dado los flujos e intercambios actuales, factores que, en conjunto, dejan a la vista la necesidad de alcanzar una estrategia global que haga de la región un territorio con mayor conectividad y robustez en su sistema de movilidad (tanto intra como interurbana), para lograr equidad y sostenibilidad en el tiempo.En el presente proyecto se utilizará un recurso valioso para el análisis y estudio de la movilidad y el sistema de transporte público: las tarjetas inteligentes de transporte (transport smart cards), las cuales proporcionan información exhaustiva, tal es el caso de la tarjeta SUBE, sobre los viajes en el transporte público, generando un volumen de datos elevado, lo cual permitirá cuantificar la conectividad del área bajo estudio y obtener información científica, que sea de utilidad para optimizar la planificación territorial en el Gran Santa Fe.
The Greater Santa Fe is a conurbation phenomenon identified at the scale of agglomeration, but also as a scale of continuity, extended in this case beyond the natural river limits, and constituted by a central city and related peripheral nuclei. It is a physical continuum of urbanities, with interdependence between them and an effective overlap of activities, which makes the physical connectivity determined by the circulatory links of the road network key to guaranteeing continuity to the whole. The issue deserves attention, and the challenge is established based on the physical nature of the territory, which makes Greater Santa Fe in particular a demanding system given the current flows and exchanges, factors that, together, reveal the need to achieve a global strategy that makes the region a territory with greater connectivity and robustness in its mobility system (both intra- and inter-urban), to achieve equity and sustainability over time. In this project, a valuable resource will be used for the analysis and study of mobility and the public transportation system: transport smart cards, which provide exhaustive information on trips in public transportation such as the SUBE card; generating a high volume of data, which will allow to quantify the connectivity of the study area and obtaining scientific information that is useful to optimize territorial planning in Greater Santa Fe.
